Dogwood Hill is a purveyor of semi-custom stationery and wedding paper for discerning clients with a taste for luxurious, artfully driven paper without the lengthy design time or high price point.
Welcome to Dogwood Hill! A reflection of our founder’s hometown, Dogwood Hill is representative of all the ways our products can be enjoyed: a church for weddings and baptisms, a tearoom for social gatherings, a pond for summer celebrations, a town square where shops and entrepreneurs can be found, and homes where parties are planned, rooms are decorated, and holiday cards are addressed. Each detail has been thoughtfully considered with our community in mind.
Our story began in late 2014 when our founder, Jennifer Hunt—a busy mother of two who moonlights as an accountant and an art dealer—waited a touch too long to order her holiday cards. Like many busy women before her, Jennifer found that booking an artist to create the hand-crafted cards she wanted was not a possibility. She took to the web, but her efforts were futile. No one was delivering online customizable calligraphy and art-driven holiday stationery. That is when the idea sprung for a website where discerning customers could go for cards that were thoughtfully and gorgeously created featuring art by real artists. No need for pricey design fees, lengthy production times or settling for the mass-produced.
With its collective of thirty artists (and growing!) and its team of in-house graphic designers who bring the art to life through thoughtful product design, Dogwood Hill is able to supply products within ten days that are as unique as the intended recipients. With each artist's distinctive style, you’ll find an item to suit your taste. Artwork is created by hand, the paper is luxurious and, to ensure your photo-based cards feel truly your own, we’ve made it easy to upload photos and personalize messages. No detail is overlooked. We believe stationery should reflect the sender’s personality and delight the recipient and that is what we strive to deliver through Dogwood Hill: Design-driven cards that inspire.
The Dogwood Hill Team
Founder and CEO
Jennifer is the creator and founder of Dogwood Hill. Hailing from northwest Alabama, she graduated with a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and moved to Birmingham in 1999. She led successful careers first as a Certified Public Accountant and then as an art gallery owner. Not one to be pegged down, Jennifer launched Dogwood Hill to offer a space where artfully created paper and accessibility could meet. As a gallery owner, Jennifer developed an eye for spotting talent and a skill for curating, which help ensure every artist and piece of work represented in the collective is top-notch. It’s a full job, but when she’s not working with artists, managing her business or keeping up with her two boys and their activities, Jennifer loves traveling with her family, cooking, reading, streaming her favorite historical fiction shows, and enjoying the company of friends. Jennifer was selected as a Tory Burch Fellow in 2019.
Buddy joined his wife, Jennifer, at the helm of Dogwood Hill's Wholesale Division in the fall of 2018. After spending two decades in the financial industry honing his sales and relationship-building skills in Minneapolis, Dallas and then back home in Birmingham, he connects Dogwood Hill with retail shops around the country and maintains valuable relationships with each new and existing account. In his time away from Dogwood Hill, he continues to manage a select number of financial accounts and enjoys the daily excitement of the stock market. His free time is spent with his wife and two young boys, coaching soccer and basketball, watching Alabama and San Francisco 49ers football, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

After marrying her husband Patrick in the summer of 2017, she made the move to Mobile, Alabama, where she currently resides and works as Dogwood Hill’s Creative Director as well as one of its contributing artists. She finds so much joy in bringing ideas to life through typography, color and paper. Brennan is a true Alabama native, hailing from the plains of Auburn, where she traded in pom poms for paintbrushes and paper while pursuing her BFA in Graphic Design at Samford University. While in school, she juggled her time between art classes and working for Cooking Light and Food & Wine magazines, in addition to spending a delightful summer in Charleston with Charleston Magazine. With inspiration arising from her Southern heritage, along with her affinity for classic designs, she believes each project offers an opportunity to create a unique design. She considers herself a visual problem solver and believes that with a little bit of grit, there's no obstacle that can't be solved. On the weekends, you can catch her with a camera in her hand photographing weddings, families, and even pets! She also loves volunteering with her local church, scouting quaint bookstores, and exploring all the Magic City has to offer.
