Lucy Young

Lucy Young
Lucy, a Birmingham native, has gravitated towards coastal towns since graduating from Auburn University with a BFA in Graphic Design. After a fellowship with Coastal Living magazine, she worked as the Assistant Art Director for a boutique marketing firm and publishing house along the shores of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It was there that she began incorporating watercolor illustrations into her layouts and quickly fell in love with the medium. She and her husband, Patrick, later spent several years in Mobile before heading to Vail, Colorado, with their daughter, Kate, and pup, Galley. Now back home in Birmingham, Lucy serves as Dogwood Hill's Creative Director and is also one of the brand's contributing artists. When she isn't dreaming up the latest Dogwood Hill collection, Lucy loves spending time with her family, playing mahjong, reading, and indulging in her newest creative outlet—needlepoint!
