Sarah Ragan

Sarah is the creator and designer behind Ragan House, based in Birmingham, Alabama. After studying Fine Art with a focus on printmaking in college, Sarah interned with a letterpress printer, who sparked her enthusiasm for print design. Though she loved the clean, crisp lead type used at the studio, she preferred more organic lines and gestural illustrations on the press—a looser and more expressive style, which is reflected in her work today. Inspired by patterns and a neutral color palette, Sarah loves drawing and illustrating, which has worked its way into her calligraphy, allowing her to create designs that are distinct and memorable. When she is not sketching in her notebook, she can be found spending time with her husband and her red husky, Maple.
